CMON has announced two new games coming from in 2017, the first is a dice chucking game called
Gekido, and the second is simultaneous selection game called
Kronia.
Gekido is actually a retheme of a game from a couple years ago by the same name, this time though instead of battling dragons, you are battling robots. In the game each character has dice to represent their life, and they also have dice that they will roll each round to try and attack the other players. To attack other players you have to create combinations like pairs, three of a kind, straights, and so on according to your character sheet. But if you fail to produce anything, you hit yourself instead, and as you take more damage you start to unlock your special powers so all is not lost as you take damage. Last one standing is the winner, look for this on shelves in January of 2017.
Kronia is a simultaneous selection game where you are trying to be selected as the new ruler of the nation through gaining favor among the gods, since they are the ones who pick the rulers. Each god will have a pile of favor tokens on them and each player will have the same set of offering cards to play. In each round everyone will pick a card, reveal it, and then divvy up the favor tokens according to the offerings. Some offerings are more powerful than others, but have drawbacks if multiple people pick it at the same time, so you have to be careful when you play each offering to maximize it's effect. Release isn't scheduled until June of 2017, and while there isn't much info now, as more is released you will be able to find out here on Dice Tower News.
