Expansion to Lanterns coming Q1 2017!

Fans of the award-winning Lanterns: The Harvest Festival will have something new to look forward to from the emperor in the new expansion: The Emperor's Gift. Designed by Christopher Chung and published by Renegade Games studio, Lanterns is a hit family-weight tile laying game where players attempt to collect lantern cards by strategically placing their tiles. Sets of lantern cards are traded in sets to score honor (points) in this game. The twist in this game comes from the fact that all players will receive lantern cards when you place a tile, so you'll always have to watch what your opponents are collecting. The new expansion, designed by Jason D. Kingsley, includes player pavilions that can be built on tiles that you place. Colour matches between your pavilion and the tile earn you a new currency that allows you to activate new special abilities from the Emperor. This expansion will add a new level of depth to those already familiar with the game as these new actions will have to be taken into account for you to surpass your opponents! Lanterns: The Emperor's Gift will hit stores  in January 2017.
