orlando exchange When a dog was shot in the Winter Park, FL area, the community split over the issue, so 10-year-old Liam Goodowens and his 8-year-old sister, Claire decided to try and reunite their broken community with board games.  It took them a while to figure out how to do this though, and at first they were thinking of starting some little libraries to bring people together.  But, when you are reading you aren't socializing, so instead they settled on doing little board game libraries since people socialize while they play.  The next step was figuring out how to house the games around the community, so they contacted the city and were able to get permission to re-purpose their run down newspaper boxes.  Then comes along CoolStuffInc's Maitland location which offered to donate games as well as accept donations for the exchanges.  The game exchange boxes are already set up in Phelps Park, the Winter Park Public Library and the city’s SunRail station with more planned.  You can read the full story on the Orlando Magazine site and check out the Game Exchange website for more information.
