Now on Kickstarter, Plague Inc: The Board Game

There has been a rash of video game to board game Kickstarters as of late, and Plague Inc: The Board Game is another one, trying to bring the smash hit video game of the same name to the table top.  Plague Inc is essentially the inverse of Pandemic, instead of being the intrepid team trying to stop the disease, you ARE the disease, mutating and infecting and spreading throughout the world.  On a typical turn of Plague Inc you will collect DNA points based on how many countries you have a majority in, put out new countries to infect, mutate your disease, spread your disease across the globe and then see if you manage to kill off entire populations.  At the end whoever has collected the most DNA points is crowned the deadliest disease. The folks at Z-Man Games tried this once before in the Pandemic line with the game Pandemic: Contagion, which received mixed reviews.  The video game Plague Inc is based on has many great reviews, so hopefully the board game follows suit.  If this sounds interesting you can head over to the campaign page to pledge for your own copy.
