lost patrol Lost Patrol is a an asymmetric two-player game that takes place in the Warhammer 40k universe.  In the game you are either the Space Marine scouts trying to reach a dropship with vital intel, or the Genestealer inhabitants trying to kill the scouts before they can leave the planet.  The Genestealers out number the scouts 2 to 1 and also have home field advantage so the challenge is squarely on the scouts' side to figure out how to survive and get off the planet.  The game plays quick so it is encouraged to switch sides between games to give each player the chance to face the challenge.  Below is the full press release and look for it on shelves in June this year. Your gallant squad of Space Marine Scouts has landed on the world of Moraz III. Your mission is to locate a crashed dropship which contains vital surveillance files. Once you have found the target you must activate the dropship and make good your escape. But this is where the going gets tough. Moraz III is no ordinary planet - it is a deadly jungle world where even the plants are out to get you. Hidden in the undergrowth are ferocious aliens called Genestealers who are just waiting to pounce upon anything foolish enough to get too close. To succeed in your mission you must navigate your way along the ever-changing jungle paths, slay all the Genestealers that ambush you before they rip you to shreds, locate the dropship and escape. Good luck, Space Marine. You're going to need it Lost Patrol is a game for two players. One player controls the Space Marine Scouts and the other player controls the Genestealers. Its asymmetric nature means the constantly evolving board, limited lines of sight, and hostile jungle make the Space Marines job a tough one, and as the Genestealers the odds are in your favour. Designed for fast play, the challenge lies in achieving success with the Space Marines, and the quick turnaround means swapping sides is a great way to play. Inside the box, you’ll find five Space Marine Scouts, twelve Genestealers, six Infestations (the markers of imminent Genestealer appearance), thirty hex tiles, dice and the full rules for play.  The figures are unpainted and assembly is required. Release is June 2016.
