January 19, 2016 - 8:37am
knitwit Z-Man games has announced the latest game from Matt Leacock, Pandem.... I mean, Knit Wit, a social party style game with spool and thread visuals.  In Knit Wit you will take a set number of spools and place them out one at a time, circling each one with string and then placing a word from the box into each circle.  Then everyone comes up with words that match as many of the player created categories as possible.  After everyone has their words you then compare lists, cross of any duplicates, challenge any words you think don't fit, and whatever ends up left gets one point for each category it matches.  There are also some bonus buttons but not much info is given on how to obtain them other than to grab them.  This sounds like a bit more of a free form version of Scattergories with interesting visuals and components.  Look for this interesting game in March of 2016 and below is the press release. January 18, 2016. Great news is coming out today as F2Z Entertainment, Canadian game publisher of the brands Filosofia, Z-Man Games, Pretzel Games and Plaid Hat Games, are releasing the very first visuals for the next Matt Leacock game, the social game Knit Wit. Challenging both your intellect and your craftsman’s skill, this surprising game is as innovative as it is easy to learn and enjoy. Knit Wit is colorful, tactile, funny. It was designed to bring people together and have them explore their own creativity. Playing Knit Wit, craft your own categories using loops and spools, then find playful answers that match as many categories as possible. The more categories you match, the more points you score! Were you quick enough to grab one of the bonus buttons? Every point counts when victory only hangs by a thread! You’ll find in along with this document a series of visuals as well as our first teaser trailer. We welcome you to share them to your passionate readers and followers. Knit Wit will be released in March, more details to come.
