Evan Derrick Joins Van Ryder Games as VP/Creative Director

On Wednesday, January 13, 2016, Van Ryder Games has issued a press release concerning an addition to its staff. The following is the press release in full:
Van Ryder Games announced today that Evan Derrick, designer of the hit 2015 Stronghold Games release Dark Moon, has formally joined the company as partner and will assume the role of Vice President and Creative Director. In this role, Evan will oversee and manage art direction and graphic design, implement marketing strategies, and help with game development, in addition to other duties.
A.J. Porfirio, President of Van Ryder Games, comments: “I am very excited to officially have Evan join the company. Not only does he bring many useful talents and skills to improve our growing brand, but he is also well-known in the industry and a great up and coming designer. This puts us in a great position to expand our library of thematic games in 2016 and beyond.” Evan has been working with Van Ryder Games on an interim basis since the middle of 2015. He has contributed to the upcoming 2016 releases of Salvation Road (graphic design) and Saloon Tycoon (art direction and graphic design). Additionally, Van Ryder Games will be publishing Evan’s next design to be announced at a later date.

Van Ryder Games was established in 2011 for the purpose of bringing thematically immersive board and card games to the market.
