Now On Kickstarter: Treatment: A Psychiatry Card Game
November 8, 2015 - 9:28am
Markus Takanen and Shared Bulb Games are currently running a Kickstarter campaign to bring a new card game with an original theme to life: Treatment: A Psychiatry Card Game. In Treatment, players take on the role of psychiatry professionals working to provide the best possible treatment for their patients. However, symptoms continue to arise throughout the game, requiring players to react to them by treating these symptoms for their patients. Treatment is a card game for 2-5 players ages 12 and up and plays in 20-30 minutes. The goal of the game is to be the first player to offer the best treatment to a predetermined number of case cards. The game is comprised of a number of rounds, or "cases", in which each case represents a patient suffering from a specific psychiatric disorder, including Substance Use Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Neuropsychiatry. Players take turns playing treatment cards or trying to obtain cards that work better with the active case. The official Rulebook for the game can be found HERE. Treatment has three pledge levels and a few stretch goals. Treatment will successfully fund on Tuesday, December 1 if the project raises at least $8,198 in pledges.
