board game bento You probably have some sort of subscription service - for the internet, cable TV, magazines, or even books, but what about for board games? Now, you may have heard of Game Box Monthly, a board game subscription service that sends you one game per month, but now there is a new subscription service that sends 2-3 games per month: Board Game Bento! board game bento Blind Ferret, a multimedia company that started from its love for comics (and has a comic subscription - Comic Bento), is now bringing a blind-box subscription service to the world of tabletop games. Each month, subscribers will get either 2 games and an expansion, or 3 different games. There will also be a monthly theme - the first month of October is Spooky Game Knight themed. The games you get each month are a surprise - there's some teasers on the website (such as the type of game), but you won't know the games you get until you open the package! If the surprise sounds fun to you, then you can learn more from their Facebook page or the Board Game Bento website. See the press release below:

Blind Ferret, the team behind the wildly successful COMIC BENTO, are pleased to announce the launch of the newest sensation in Tabletop Gaming: BOARD GAME BENTO!

“The best part about the modern board game industry is how many awesome games there are.” states BOARD GAME BENTO manager and Paizo Volunteer-of-The-Year 2015, Ryan Costello. “The perfect game for you is out there right now. The challenge is finding it. BOARD GAME BENTO takes the guess work out of it!”

BOARD GAME BENTO is a blind box subscription service for tabletop gaming enthusiasts. Every month, for as low as $45/month plus shipping & handling, subscribers receive at least $80 worth of board games and add-ons at their door step. Each box includes either three different games from three different publishers, or two games and an expansion for one of the included games. The add-ons tie into the month's theme and game content, making the experience of playing a game out of a Board Game Bento box different from playing the same game off the shelf.

Officially launching on October 5th, 2015, BOARD GAME BENTO’s debut theme is Spooky Game Knight. The subscription cut-off is October 28th at 11:59 pm Eastern, and the first month is limited to 200 subscribers.
