Fantasy Flight Announces New Faction for Battlelore Second Edition

Fantasy Flight has announced the Undead faction for Battlelore Second Edition with two army pack expansions Terrors of the Mists and Heralds of DreadfallTake control of an army of undead amassed by  Waiqar, a corrupt general that lead an army against a noble mage and lost soundly. Not giving up he vowed that he and his men would never rest until they conquered the mage thus cursing them to eternal living death. The Undead army was first seen after dark, the soldiers' and knights' fleshless bones glowing in the moonlight, the banshee's shriek echoing throughout the countryside. Peasants screamed and hid in their homes, and even the Citadel Guards found their knees trembling as they watched the stream of armed skeletons flowing towards the city. How could they defeat an army of creatures who were already dead?  battlelore figures In each of the two new packs are
  • 37 figures of 5 different unit types, more than enough forces to have a 50 point army.
  • Twenty card lore decks showcasing the horrific powers of this new faction.
  • Two army cards suggesting specialized 50 point armies.
  • Six scenario cards and terrain tiles that turn the battle field into grave strewn wasteland.
The armies in Terrors of the Mists are composed of sinister Necromancers that command sword wielding Reanimates and unyielding Bone Horrors. They are accompanied by Barghests, evil beasts that prey on the living, and a chained shrieking Banshee. Joining them are the armies from Heralds of Dreadfall which contain Skeleton Archers with blighted arrows that will cause units struck with them to slow their movement, a grave haunting Barrow Wyrm with a lore harvesting plague breath, Death Knights the most powerful cavalry in the game, and Wraiths whose only weakness are magical assaults from Caster units. With these two new expansions and the new faction out if you've been waiting to get into Battlelore Second Edition now is a great time to do so.
