New from Gamewright: Super Tooth, Go Nuts!, Sleeping Queens, Dragonwood, and Outfoxed!

Gamewright announced 5 new family friendly games coming out soon:

First up is Super Tooth a quick playing family dinosaur themed card game for 2-4 players ages 5+.  It's a set collection game that will have you gathering sets of plant eating dinosaurs to trade for points. Players will need to avoid the carnivores  and deal with perilous landscape events. If you or the children you game with are fans of dinosaurs (and honestly who isn't?) you should check out Super Tooth which should be releasing soon.

Trap the Triceratops! Apprehend the Apatosaurus! Race to capture sets of mathcing dinosaurs in this ferociously fun card game. The bigger the set, the bigger your reward. But don’t bite off more than you can chew, or you may fall prey to a Velociraptor, a volcano, or even the dreaded T. Rex! Collect the most sets and you’ll go down in prehistory!

 

Also coming soon is Go Nuts! a dice rolling push your luck game. Go Nuts! was first published in 2008 and takes just 12-15 minutes for 2-5 players. Players will roll dice looking for acorns and set aside dice that come up as cars. But watch out, if they roll all acorns things will get crazy in a super 'Go Nuts!' round! check out the publisher description below:

In Go Nuts!, players want to pile up the acorn points as quickly as they can. On a turn, the active player takes five squirrel dice and rolls them. Any dice showing cars are set aside out of play, while any acorns are worth one point. After each roll, the player can decide to stop and bank the acorn points or roll again. If they ever roll only squirrels on the dice, they lose any points accumulated that turn and must call out “Go nuts!”, now rolling all five dice as quickly as possible and calling out the total number of acorns rolled as they go. All other players are simultaneously rolling one dog die each, which shows a doghouse on five sides and a dog on one. As soon as an opponent rolls a dog, that player barks; once all the opponents have barked, the active player stops rolling and scores all acorns rolled in this special “go nuts” round. Players take turns until someone scores fifty or more points, thereby winning the game!

 

Last up in the coming soon category is the 10th Anniversary edition of Sleeping Queens. Nominated for a Golden Geek Best Kids' Board Game award in 2006 and plays 2-5 players ages 8 and up. Publisher description:

Rise and Shine! The Pancake Queen, the Ladybug Queen, and their friends have fallen under a sleeping spell and it’s your job to wake them up. Use strategy, quick thinking, and a little luck to rouse these napping nobles from their royal slumbers. Play a knight to steal a queen or take a chance on a juggling jester. But watch out for wicker potions and dastardly dragons! The player who wakes the most queens wins!   Deluxe 10th anniversary edition includes new queens in a custom tin!

 

Coming in June we have Dragonwood which combines dice and cards and will play 2-4 players ages 8 and up. Publisher description:

Dare to enter Dragonwood! Deep in the heart of this mythical forest lurk angry ogres, giggling goblins, and even the famed and fearsome fire-breathers themselves! In Dragonwood, you collect sets of adventurer cards to earn dice, which you then use to roll against your foes. Stomp on some fire ants, shriek at a grumpy troll, or strike the menacing orange dragon with a magical silver sword. Choose your strategy carefully because the landscape of Dragonwood is ever-changing. Only the bravest will overcome the odds to emerge victorious!

 

Finally in July be on the lookout for Outfoxed. Players will searching for the fox who has stolen Mrs. Plumpert's prized pot pie and is for 2-4 players ages 5 an up. Bring out young gamers inner sleuths and try to catch the fox when Outfoxed comes out! Publisher description:

Mrs. Plumpert’s prized pot pie has gone missing, and now it’s a chicken chase to crack the case! In Outfoxed, you move around the board to gather clues, then use the special evidence scanner to rule out suspects. You have to work together quickly because the guilty fox is high-tailing it towards the exit! Will you halt the hungry hooligan before it flies the coop or will you be outfoxed?
