Now on Kickstarter: Parfum by Queen Games

March 2, 2015 - 1:23pm

The designers of the award winning game “Fresco” introduce you to the wonderful world of fragrances through their new game “Parfum”.

Marcel Süßelbeck and Marco Ruskowski, known for their award-winning game Fresco, have designed a new game in which players take on the role of master perfumers in Southern France working to create quality perfumes to sell to eager customers.  The wealthy customers are selective, so choosing the best combination of fragrance notes is critical to pleasing these patrons and achieving the most points.

Players will create two types of perfumes in the game: minor perfumes and major perfumes.  Minor perfumes have two parts, the "head note" and the "base note."  Major perfumes have an additional third part, the "heart note."  Aroma dice are used to combine five different fragrance notes while avoiding flies, which ruin the perfume creation process.  Turn order is determined by selecting clock faces (1, 2, 3, 4).  The first player to wake up and get working is first, but has the fewest number of actions, where the one up last has been beat to the punch but, due to being well rested, is granted the most number of actions.

Parfum is a game for 2 - 4 players ages 8 and up, and plays in 45 minutes.  The game board is double-sided, with one side for 3 players and one for 2 or 4 players.
