Hostage Negotiator Designer Interview

Goforthandgame.com had a conversation with A. J. Porfirio of Van Ryder Games. The focal point was on Hostage Negotiator, a card game currently on Kickstarter with 7 days to go. “The game puts you in the role of a Hostage Negotiator that needs to negotiate with a Hostage Taker (or Abductor as we call it) to successfully save the hostages. The game is for solitaire play and plays in under half an hour. It really simulates that tension filled situation quite nicely,” states Porfiro. Players are working to release hostages by managing conversation points and threat level using a hand building mechanism.
