Hammer and Hold & Legions of Darkness

Fantasy Flight Games has announced two upcoming expansions for their Warhammer themed, disk flipping battle game. These expansions will include at least fifty disks and ten command cards, tokens, terrain, and ways to modify your battles with scenario cards.  In addition, new mechanisms like Poison, Stalwart, Fear, and Reanimate will provide new strategies in combat. Poison adds tokens to opponents that will cause wounds faster.  Stalwart allows pinned units to use focus abilities or perform ranged attacks.  Units pinned by enemies with Fear have a lowered counterattack value.  Reanimate allows fallen units to return to the battlefield. Both expansions will also contain three new factions to the Old World battles.  Hammer and Hold introduces Dwarfs, Elves, and Lizardmen regiments and Legions of Darkness brings Vampire Counts, Dark Elves, and Skaven. Hammer and Hold & Legions of Darkness are slated for the second quarter of this year.
