Passport Game Studios, in conjunction with NSKN Games, has announced exclusive North American rights for Exodus: Proxima Centauri (Revised Edition). This deal makes the game available through North American distribution channels.
In Exodus: Proxima Centauri, the six factions fight for dominance in an epic empire-building game, striving to build a new human empire on the ashes of the Centaurian civilization. Each player will build his own space fleet of customized ships and conquer new planets, fight the Centaurian Resistance and the other players, negotiate and vote for political decisions, research Centaurian technologies, and much more.
Some of the changes in the ‘Revised Edition’ include: streamlined rules, new game variants, upgraded components and graphic design.
When asked what makes Exodus stand apart from other 4X games, NSKN Games Executive Manager Andrei Novac said: “Exodus is actually playable in 30 minutes per player if everyone knows the rules. We have worked hard to keep the game play short. You will find simultaneous action selection, simultaneous ship movement and several other game mechanics, which keep players focused on the game. Our goal was to have less than 10% idle time for each player. It's hard to evaluate this on a large scale, but our play-testing showed that we came quite close.”
Exodus Proxima Centauri (Revised Edition) is available March 21st from Passport Game Studios. Retailers can see and demo this new version at the GAMA Trade Show (March 17-21, Las Vegas) and at GTS Distribution’s Come & Play Days (March 5-6, Atlanta and June 25-26 Seattle).
