2019 Kinderspiel des Jahres Winner Announced

June 27, 2019 - 12:15am

Three games were nominated for the 2019 Kinderspiel des Jahres - Valley of the Vikings, Fabulantica, and Go Gecko Go! - but Valley of the Vikings took home the prize.

Valley of the Vikings was designed by Marie Fort and Wilfried Fort. The artwork for the game was provided by Maximilian Meinzold. The game is aimed at kids aged 6 and up. It plays 2-4 people and takes about 20 minutes to play. The game is billed as a "tactical game of skill" as the players have to use balls to knock down barrels in the annual bowling barrel contest.
