New expansion cycle for Arkham Horror: the Card Game - The Dream Eaters

June 4, 2019 - 6:26am

Investigators in Arkham Horror: the Card Game will be divided between reality and the world of dreams in the upcoming fifth expansion cycle. The Dream Eaters expansion includes 95 scenario cards, split between two different scenarios, and 56 player cards, including new investigator Luke Robinson, the Dreamer. The full campaign will consist of The Dream Eaters expansion box and six mythos packs to be subsequently released.

Each of the scenarios in The Dream-Eaters can be played on their own or combined with three of the six Mythos Packs in The Dream-Eaters cycle to form a larger four-part campaign. Alternatively, these scenarios can also be combined with all six of Mythos Packs to form a cohesive eight-part campaign.

The full campaign involves two parallel storylines, one in the Dreamlands and one in the waking world, each with their own campaign log. The expansion content brings back the keyword bonded, which was first introduced in the Before the Black Throne mythos pack of The Circle Undone expansion cycle. Bonded cards enter play through the use of a specific player card, but do not take up a spot in the investigator deck.

Fantasy Flight Games will open the Dreamlands for your group of 1-4 investigators to explore in the third quarter of 2019. This expansion is not standalone; a copy of the core set is required to play.
