Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions TCG now on Nintendo Switch

April 18, 2019 - 3:35pm

The Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions Trading Card Game has been added to a new digital platform, the Nintendo Switch. The game was already available on Steam, the Apple App Store, and the Google Play Store. One of the unique aspects of the game is that it can be bought as physical products in the form of starter decks, and booster packs, then scanned into the digital platform to be added to a player's collection. If players primarily enjoy online play, digital cards can be purchased directly in the game.

Players can create decks from one of the four Grand Alliances (Order, Chaos, Death, and Destruction) who are each composed of factions such as Stormcast Eternals, Skaven, and Bonesplitterz, to name but a few. The release onto the Nintendo Switch allows players to play on the go, with a joy-con and touch screen support, or at home. A brand-new, single-player adventure, Realm Trials, is also launching with the Nintendo Switch version, which contains dozens of hours of content. A new mode, Arena of Echoes, has also been added which allows players to draft from 2 given alliances using a random selection of cards. Using this deck, players battle through a series of League rounds until they gain entry to the prize Gauntlet.
