Men In Black crossover with the Ghostbusters in IDW board game

November 1, 2018 - 11:33pm
In June of 2019 the Men in Black movie, from Sony Pictures, will hit cinemas at the same time Ghostbusters celebrates its 35th Anniversary. Men In Black/Ghostbusters: Ecto-terrestrial Invasion will be the first of many games for both franchises in 2019. Men In Black/Ghostbusters: Ecto-terrestrial Invasion will be loaded with miniatures and will feature Peter Venkman, Egon Spangler, Ray Stanz, and Winston Zeddmore, as the Ghostbusters, and Agent J, Agent K, Agent L and Zed, as the MIB team. Together, they'll tackle the threat of the Ecto-terrestrials who attempt to overwhelm earth's defenses, but there's always enough time for friendly competition when stomping invaders. A combination of rolling dice and take-that card play form the core of the mechanisms utilized while highly detailed miniatures from Ninja Division (known for Super Dungeon Explore) will add table presence.

"We are excited to bring these two iconic properties together along with an amazing group of development partners. We love the fun story we are telling with this game and hope fans will bring it to the tabletop again and again." -Jerry Bennington, IDW Publishing’s VP of New Product Development [source]

The Men In Black/Ghostbusters: Ecto-terrestrial Invasion board game features art by Derek Laufman, is designed by Panda Cult Games, and published by IDW Games. It will see release in late 2019 with additional stand-alone games for each franchise slated for later that year.
