Dungeon Derby on Kickstarter

August 19, 2018 - 12:22pm
Dungeon Derby is a party game currently on Kickstarter from publisher Rabbiteer. It's a party game filled with strategy, betting, and some luck with non-stop action. It supports 3-6 players, aged 8+, and plays in about an hour. It's designed by Tanner Yarro, with art and design by Rebecca Morrison, Brad Ashworth, and Bo Hacking. It plays in a semi-cooperative fashion where players, who represent clans, bet on champions racing through the dungeon. Players get their clans to hinder racers or cast spells to change the race. The clan which accumulates the most wealth wins. The game is played in real-time where players collectively draw, play, and encounter cards in each phase.

"Champions are rewarded with treasures for their victories, players who have wagered correctly on a race collect winnings from the dungeon master, and those down on their luck can go on interactive, adventurous quests to earn rewards. A day at the dungeon races often includes the thrill of winning races, the gut-wrenching frustration of defeat, and the fun of lighthearted banter with other players. In the end everyone leaves the races as winners, but only the player with the most wealth can claim to be the master of the dungeon!" [source]

The Kickstarter project has already reached its goal and will end on Thursday, September 6th, 2018. Dungeon Derby is expected to ship in November 2018.
