Liberation - A pocket-sized rebellion of galactic scale

Button Shy are known for their quality games created in small packages and Liberation is their new project currently on Kickstarter. Designed by Jon Simantov with art by Sara Beauvais, the game has a deck of only 18 cards and is an asymmetrical game of cat and mouse which plays in 20-25 minutes.

"For hundreds of generations, the Dynasty has ruled the galaxy with a titanium fist. Their power and reach is spreading, but so is word of their misdeeds. A band of resistance fighters known as the Liberation has begun striking at the Dynasty from a hidden base." [source]

The Dynasty player expands their power, occupying and exploiting the city, while the Liberation player strikes from the shadows using guerrilla tactics. At the same time the Liberation player is performing high stake missions. Each side plays very differently with different sets of actions and specific missions. The Kickstarter project ends on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 and has already met its funding goal 11 times over. Liberation is expected to deliver in November 2018.
