2022 CATAN World Championships held in Malta

The CATAN World Championships were held November 19-20 in Valletta, Malta, after a 4-year delay due to the ongoing pandemic. Held since 2002, the world championships were livestreamed from catan.com, and 87 contestants from 48 countries traded their sheep for wood in Klaus Teuber ’s classic euro game. Congratulations go to the winner Hamish Dean from New Zealand, who defeated finalists Emanuele Scapaticci from Italy, Eric Freeman from USA, and Thomas Bostrup from Denmark.
