Zap your friends silly with Repos Production's Stupefy!
Have you ever played Ca$h ‘n Gun$, by designer Ludovic Maublanc and artist John Kovalic, and thought the theme of criminals taking potshots at each other to see who gets to keep a share of the loot from their latest heist was just a tad bit too violent? Maybe you wanted to play the game with your children, but the idea of pointing guns at them, even foam guns, made you a bit queasy? Well now you no longer need worry!
Publisher Repos Productions has announced a Harry Potter re-theme of Ca$h ‘n Gun$ called Stupefy!. In Stupefy, players represent wizards from one of the four Houses of Hogwarts. Each round, players will select one of their spell cards to cast either a Stupefy or a Misspell. At the same time, players will point their wands at their target, reveal their spell card and apply its effects. If you are the target of a Misspell, you’ll be able to select a reward from the center of the table and deposit it into your House’s coffers. If you are the target of a Stupefy spell you will be late to arrive and will not be able to take a reward from the center of the table. Unless of course, you decide to forgo your own spell and cast Protego! After 8 rounds, in which all the rewards are claimed, the House with the highest victory points is the winner.
Stupefy! plays with 4-8 players, ages 8+, with an estimated playtime of 30 minutes. With five or more players, you can convert the game from a free-for-all to a team game.
