Wizkids mutates Rock, Paper, Scissors into Marvel: Rock, Paper, Heroes - Enter the Danger Room

In January of 2017, publisher Wizkids released Dungeons & Dragons – Rock, Paper, Wizard, in which each player was a wizard arguing over the best way to split the treasure horde of a recently killed dragon. Each wizard would chant “Rock, paper, wizard!” and each would replicate the hand gesture of one of the spell cards in front of them as well as choose a target of that spell with the goal of moving themselves closer to the treasure while moving everyone else away from it.

Co-designers Josh Cappel, Jay Cormier, and Sen-Foong Lim along with artist Delaney Januzzi now bring that game play into th world of Marvel’s merry mutants, the X-Men. In Marvel: Rock, Paper, Heroes – Enter the Danger Room, players will play one of eight different mutants, including Cyclops, Storm, and Wolverine, who have entered the Danger Room for a training session. Players will chant “Rock, paper, heroes!” and then each player will choose one of the mutant powers in front of them to earn points which they can use to overcome the danger room hazards, gain new powers, and move towards the danger room controls in order to shut the room down. The player with the most points when the danger room is shut down is the winner.

Marvel: Rock, Paper, Heroes – Enter the Danger Room plays 3-4 players, ages 12+, and has an estimate playtime of 30 minutes. It is expected to be released into retail on September 22, 2022.

Where to start? Where to start? Hmm... I like to play games? Yeah, that's brilliant. <delete><delete><delete> I'll try again later.
