Wizkids announced WWE Headlock, Paper, Scissors
Publisher Wizkids has announced the upcoming WWE licensed card game Headlock, Paper, Scissors from designers Josh Cappel, Jay Cormier, and Sen-Foong Lim. In Headlock, Paper, Scissors, 3-6 players take on the roles of their favorite WWE wrestlers, and take turns selecting techniques from either a shared pool of cards or their own signature move. But rather than take the card for a technique, each one is described with a unique hand gestures, and players aim this gesture at their target player. Techniques can be strikes, holds, throws or showboat moves, and the presence of comeback moves and underdogs means anyone can come back from the brink of disaster. Players thus advance in the ring and climb a 3D ladder to reach the briefcase of money at the top.
Headlock is a re-implementation of Wizkid’s popular Rock, Paper, Wizard released in 2016, which used hand gestures in a Dungeons & Dragons world, with players advancing towards a dragon’s treasure. Headlock, Paper, Scissors will come with 12 playable wrestlers, including Roman Reigns, Kofi Kingston, Becky Lynch, and Asuka, and is expected to arrive at your FLGS in May 2020.
