Themeborne has announced a Kickstarter campaign for its newest game, Strike HQ. The game is designed by Thomas Pike with artwork supplied by Neil Roberts. The game is for 2 players only, ages 10 and up, and takes about an hour to play.
Strike HQ is a head-to-head expandable battle card game that brings the classic thrill of real-time strategy (RTS) video games to the tabletop. There are two modes of play in the box: Classic mode, that is designed for casual players, and Constructed mode for more experienced players. In Classic mode, there is no deck construction - there are preconstructed starter decks for each of the players. In Constructed mode, the players can put together customised faction decks. No matter which mode the game is played in, the object is the same: either destroy your enemies’ headquarters or launch an atomic strike.
At the time of this writing, there are about 4 weeks to go in the Kickstarter campaign for Strike HQ. Strike HQ is expected to deliver in May 2023.
