“The Necron Overlord has arisen, and he seeks to take over the galaxy! Standing between this tyrannical maniac and his ultimate prize are five Space Marine heroes - mighty battle-brothers who have sworn to halt his evil plans.”

Warhammer 40,000 by Games Workshop is one of the most popular tabletop miniatures wargames in the world, having been played regularly since its first edition rules were released in 1987. And now this foundation of space marine carnage is working its way into the hands of mass-market retailers. GW just announced that the entry level 40K game, Space Marine Adventures: Labyrinth of the Necros, will be available to purchase in Target stores. This cooperative game for 1-4 players pits a squad of the titular Space Marines against the “skeletal horrors of the Necros”. The game will contain 5 push fit Citadel miniatures, each a mighty warrior of the Adeptus Astartes, previously available as limited editions in the Space Marine Heroes range. Labyrinth of the Necros is a perfect introductory game to the vast world of Warhammer 40K, playing in a reasonable 45 minutes. For more details, check out the press release from Games Workshop here.
