Unmatched Marvel is on the Horizon
The Unmatched universe continues to grow as it is tackling yet another iconic IP, this time the Marvel Universe. Mondo Games, in conjunction with Restoration Games, has announced a four games series featuring the likes of characters such as Luke Cage, Daredevil, Ms. Marvel, Black Panther and more. As with the other Unmatched sets, these sets will be able to stand on their own or be combined with other sets in the line.
Although the Unmatched Marvel games are not due out until the summer of 2021, the first four games, along with the characters they introduce, have already been announced:
Redemption Row – featuring Luke Cage, Ghost Rider, and Moon Knight
Hell’s Kitchen – featuring Daredevil, Elektra, and Bullseye
Teen Spirit – featuring Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, and Cloak and Dagger
For King and Country – featuring Black Widow, Black Panther, and Winter Soldier
Jayme Boucher, Director of Games at Mondo, had this to say about the new releases: “Unmatched is more than a fighting game. It’s an invitation to cast yourself as the hero in an epic story, something Marvel has absolutely no shortage of. The team’s unfettered love of these characters and stories has resulted in some of the most excitingly thematic character development in the series to date. We can’t wait to share it with fellow fans.”
