Tokaido for two

Funforge has announced Tokaido Duo, a new version of Tokaido, specifically for two players. Like the original, Tokaido Duo is designed by Antoine Bauza, with art by Xavier Gueniffey Durin. 

In Tokaido, players are competing to have the most pleasant journey across the East Sea Road in Japan. The game features a linear track of action spaces. Each turn, the player in last place on the track can move forward to any unoccupied action space on the track, but can never move backwards. Thus, players have to balance between rushing ahead to a desired action space, or making smaller movements for more turns. In Tokaido Duo, players will choose where to walk to see the best things, as they traverse an island, making memories. 

Demos of Tokaido Duo will be debuting at the UK Games Expo, June 3-5. The game is scheduled for a retail release by the end of 2022.
