TheOP and Asmodee agree to produce licensed versions of Spot It!
“Spot It!’s appeal, especially amongst families and kids, lines up perfectly with The Op’s long history of bringing fun games with a pop culture twist into American living rooms and kitchen tabletops,”
TheOP, formerly USAopoly, masters of all things licensed and I.P. related, have announced a new partnership with Asmodee. Under the agreement, TheOP will be producing multiple licensed variations of the award-winning game Spot It. Spot It (2009), also known as Dobble outside the US, is a pattern matching card game for 2-8 players. Two circular cards are flipped, each showing 8 small pictures. Any pair of cards will match exactly 1 of these pictures, and it is the players’ job to find that match first. No details are given about which of TheOP’s many I.P. licenses will be used, but TheOP hold licenses from Hasbro, Disney, Marvel, Nintendo, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, FOX, and Nickelodeon, and has previously put Harry Potter, Batman, and Marvel on several prominent games.
