“Since winning the Meeple’s Choice award when the physical board game launched in 2014, players have eagerly awaited a digital adaptation to play on the go.”

Temple Gates Games, the designers of notable board game apps for Ascension and Race for the Galaxy, have announced a free beta testing for their upcoming Roll for the Galaxy app. Roll for the Galaxy (2014) is the highly regarded, award winning, dice variant on Race for the Galaxy (2007) by Rio Grande Games and designers Wei-Hwa Huang and Thomas Lehmann. In Roll for the Galaxy, 1-5 players collect a population of dice, using them to grow and build an interstellar empire. The game includes sixty settlements and developments, nine starting factions and over 100 custom dice.

The beta for the app is available on iOS, Android and Steam, and supports 1-5 players. The app features a very capable A.I. from programmer Keldon James, the mind behind the Race for the Galaxy app. Both synchronous and asynchronous network support is supported.
