Stonemaier Games announces expansion for Between Two Castles
Stonemaier Games is publishing Between Two Castles: Secrets & Soirees Expansion. This addition to Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig changes the player count from 2 to 7 players to 1 to 8 players. The solo mode is implemented through an Automa system, like other Stonemaier Games titles. In the game, players draft tiles and construct one castle with the player to their left and another castle with the player ot their right.
Beyond the player count changes, the expansion introduces a variant where players construct their own castle without collaborating with other players. Additionally, the expansion introduces activity rooms, secret rooms, ballrooms, a new throne room, and more bonus cards. The expansion content arrives in a Game Trayz tray with a lid, designed to fit inside the original box. Secrets & Soirees was designed by the same two designers as the base game, Matthew O'Malley and Ben Rosset. It features art by Laura Bevon, Agnieszka Dabrowiecka, and Bartłomiej Kordowski; all of whom worked on the base game.
Between Two Castles: Secrets & Soirees Expansion will be available for preorder on May 26th, and will begin shipping in June.
