Kingdom Rush Elemental Uprising

The popular board game, Kingdom Rush: Rift in Time, is getting a sequel in the near future Lucky Duck Games has announced. The new game, Kingdom Rush: Elemental Uprising, is a standalone game that uses the same cooperative system as its predecessor, but you need not have played the original game in order to pick the new one up.  Kingdom Rush: Elemental Uprising is coming to Gamefound on February 9th, 2021.  The game has the same design team as Kingdom Rush: Rift in Time - Helana Hope, Sen-Foong Lim, and Jessey Wright.  The artists for the game remain the same as well - Mateusz Komada and Katarzyna Kosobucka.  The game plays 1-4 players, ages 14 and up, in 45-90 minutes.

So what makes Kingdom Rush: Elemental Uprising different from the first game?  In Elemental Uprising, players will have to contend with elemental beings, volcanoes erupting on the board, cyclones sweeping across the paths, and shamanic monsters wielding powerful defensive magic.  The game also introduces 5 new characters, each with their own unique powers and abilities.  These characters are cross-compatible with the original game and its expansions.

The campaign for Kingdom Rush: Elemental Uprising will begin February 9th, 2021, on the Gamefound website here. The game is expected to deliver in 2022.
