“Three years ago, we made Mechs vs. Minions…”

Riot Games is the company behind the stupendously popular MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) style video game, League of Legends. Three years ago, the company diverted a small amount of their money-printing empire into a board game, Mechs vs. Minions, which stunned both consumers and critics with its beautiful production and elegant game design, leaving everyone wondering what was to come next.

Well, wait no longer, because Riot has announced more tabletop games in the works, the next being Tellstones: King’s Gambit. Tellstones, a bluffing game with perfect information, is described as “a Demacian variant of a game played across Runeterra”. In the press release, Riot also hints that more games are on the way, and that stunning component quality is one of the foundational goals of the company.
