Rebuild civilization in Tribes of the Wind

French board game publisher, La Boîte de Jeu, have announced a new board game designed by Joachim Thôme (known for Wild Space and Dicium), featuring art from the very popular Vincent Dutrait, called Tribes of the Wind. Players are the tribes of the wind who are going to rebuild the world on the polluted ruins of the past in a post-apocalyptic world. The game supports 2-5 players, aged 14+, and plays in 40-90 minutes.

In this card based, tile laying game, players plant forests, explore the area, build new villages and temples, and decontaminate surrounding areas, using resources they’ve gathered. Objectives completed along the way unlock a guide’s special abilities which improves the tribe’s powers. When the 5th village is built the game enters the end round and the player with the most points, depending on pollution, villages, templates, layout of their forests, and objectives completed, is the winner.

Expect Tribes of the Wind to be released sometime during 2022.
