Quintessential Quantum Trick-Taking for Cool Cats

Bezier Games has announced a deluxe edition of Cat in the Box, which was originally published in Japan in 2020.  The game is designed by Muneyuki Yokouchi with artwork supplied by Osamu Inoue.  The game is for 2-5 players, ages 13 and up, and takes between 20-40 minutes to play.

Cat in the Box is a trick-taking game in which the conceit is that the player’s card color isn’t defined until they play it. Players will bid on the number of tricks they believe they can win, planning their tricks carefully as they cannot claim the color of a card with the same number that has already been declared.  The winner is the player who scored the most points.
