Origins 2022 returns to 60% precovid attendance

The annual Origins Game Fair was held this year June 8-12, in Columbus, Ohio. The board game convention at the Greater Columbus Convention Center is produced by the Game Manufacturer's Association (GAMA), who has released attendance figures for this year's event. Origins 2022 had an attendance of 11,689 people, which is approximately 60% of pre-Covid numbers. There were 267 Origins exhibitors, and nearly 100 volunteers. Running concurrently with Origins at the venue in Columbus was GDEX, a curated showcase of developers with games incorporating creative technology. There were 40 GDEX exhibitors at the fair.
Origins 2023 is scheduled for June 21-25.
