The Op announces partership games with Spongebob, PIXAR and Friday the 13th
The Op, formerly known as USAopoly, the undisputed master of IP integration, has collected yet another pop culture icon into their coffers, and he lives in a pineapple under the sea. The Op has announced a new partnership with SpongeBob SquarePants along with two games taking full advantage thereof. Trivial Pursuit: SpongeBob SquarePants will test every fan’s knowledge of the popular Nickelodeon cartoon with over 600 questions in categories such as Songs, Characters, Locations and more. SpongeBob: Plankton Rising will take the proven format of Thanos Rising: Avengers Infinity Wars and apply it to the SpongeBob universe. In this cooperative card and dice game, 1-4 players take on the familiar roles of SpongeBob, Patrick, or Squidward to take on the evil Plankton. And for those in the know, the giant statue in this edition is a Plankton Chum Bucket. In related news, The Op has also announced a partnership with movie producer PIXAR to produce Quests of Yore: Barley’s Edition, based on their newest film Onward. Quests of Yore is a massive role-playing game for 2-5 players which takes place in this magical modern suburban fantasy universe. “Gather your Fellowship and embark on an epic Quest across the lands of old. Rush to the aid of the satyrs of Clovendell and uncover a mystery that will test your adventurers’ strength and teamwork.” This adventure game includes 180 power, spell and Item cards, hex tiles, tokens, quest master screen, character sheets, 3 sets of dice, 6 miniatures, and tons of books and references. Finally, The Op announced a new project based on the horror film Friday the 13th, Horror at Camp Crystal Lake. This board game uses a press your luck mechanic to build tension and horror as the players try to survive 5 nights in the presence of a blood-thirsty Jason. 3-6 Players select a character from movie tropes the Nerd, the Partier, the Nice Guy, the Diva, the Final Girl, and the Jock, and frantically collect items to combine together and avoid the incessant attacks. “Steal supplies from your friends, take them with you to the cabin, or keep what you find and wait out the nights to be the last one standing!” Horror at Camp Crystal Lake comes with 6 player boards, 1 cabin board, 10 critical supply cards, 64 fear cards, 6 backpack cards, blood spatter, escape, supply, and player tokens, a camp bag and a rulebook.
