Maglev Metro Expansion Header

Maglev Metro, by Bezier Games, is getting two new maps in 2022. In Maglev Metro, players utilize state-of-the-art magnetic levitation technology to build a metropolitan rail system to transport workers and robots beneath the city. Maglev Metro, along with the expansion maps, is designed by Ted Alspach and supports 1-4 players, aged 14+.

The upcoming “Mechs” map takes place in a robot city, complete with supercharged giant mechs. Players are tasked to build new half-hub Mech stations with an oversized mech robot placed on their player board. Fresh capabilities for each action “manned” by mechs (instead of robots) can be unlocked. These include actions such as the ability to drop off passengers from a distance, have unlimited robot and mech adjustments, and provide free passenger pickups. This recessed map provides countless station connections and allows for 4 mech half-hubs, a hub, and 14 stations in play by the end of the game.

The upcoming “Monorails” map takes place in the first amusement park of its kind where players are transporting regular park attendees as well as VIP passengers. VIP passengers can be dropped off at any station, and trains can be hitched to others as they move past (netting a free ride around the park even when it isn’t the player’s turn). New Bonus cards provide increased chances to score end-game points if players have created a loop around the park or kept passengers in the train at game end.

Bitten by a common house spider, Antoine emerged with the uncanny ability to buy more games than he had time to play. While living in the hills of Tennessee, USA, he tries to balance software development, family, and his multiple, competing hobbies. He hopes to someday discover a pocket dimension in which to store his games
