Lucky Duck Games and BBC Studios Announce Sherlock Partnership
Lucky Duck Games, in partnership with BBC Studios, has announced that they are going to create board games based on the Sherlock TV series that features Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. The first of these games, Sherlock: Case Connection, will be released in the second quarter of 2022. The game is designed by Radosław Ignatów and supports 2-4 players, ages 8 and up, with a play time of 30 minutes.
In Sherlock: Case Connection, the players will visit the show’s locations to gather the needed evidence that supports their theory of the crime. The game is competitive as every player needs to investigate and deduce what exactly happened in order to become the greatest detective in the world.
Vincent Vergonjeanne, CEO of Lucky Duck Games, said, “With our long experience in publishing investigation games, creating board games in the Sherlock universe is a real treat for our team. Bringing together Lucky Duck’s expertise in the tabletop industry and BBC Studios’ and Hartswood’s IP has created an immense opportunity for original game design and interactive storytelling.”
