Kickstarter explodes with Terraforming Mars, Batman, Root, Tiny Epic Dungeons, and more!

Kickstarter has exploded with a number of epic projects which makes February a tough month to budget which games to back.

Zombicide: Undead or Alive moves the popular Zombicide franchise to the Wild West and promises rules updates along with a faster setup. This iteration features classes with unique abilities, balconies with improved line of sight, a train barreling through the board, a gattling gun to mow down the hordes, and dynamite to take down crowds of the undead. There's also an expansion, Zombicide: Guns & Gears, which brings Steampunk to the Wild West. The game plays 1-6 players, aged 14+, and the campaign, already almost 10x overfunded, ends on March 10th, 2021.

Ragnarocks is designed by Gordon Hamilton (designer of Santorini) and is for 1-2 players, aged 12+, and plays in roughly 20 minutes. The game sees vikings move across Midgard which is a board which clips onto a plastic tree stump. There are also multiple viking Myths which feature gods and other mystical beings from viking mythology. The campaign run by Grey Fox Games will end on March 17th, 2021 and is already 150% funded.

Ragnarocks

Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition is a new standalone card game based in the Terraforming Mars universe. The game caters for 1-4 players, aged 14+, plays in 60 minutes, and features solo and cooperate modes. Play proceeds through, Development, Construction, Action, Production, Research phases, and the game ends when Mars is habitable. The campaign is being run by Stronghold Games and is currently set to end on March 5th, 2021.

Terraforming Mars Ares Expedition

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - The Game is based on the comic book series of the same name. Its a purely solo board game where the player dons the Caped Crusader's cowl and journeys through Frank Miller's iconic Batman adventure where a futuristic Batman comes out of retirement to survive one final gauntlet against old foes and even his old friend, Superman. The game features variable setup, artwork from Frank Miller's series, and can be played as standalone missions or one, epic playthrough. The campaign is run by Cryptozoic Entertainment and is set to end on March 19th, 2021.

Batman The Dark Knight Return The Game

Root: The Marauder Expansion further expands the world of Root with the Keepers in Iron and Lord of the Hundreds factions.The Lord of the Hundreds seek to raze the Woodlands to the ground, while the Keepers of Iron recover precious relics from this destructive conflict. There are also more hirelings, and the add-on of the Clockwork Expansion 2 which adds the Automa mode to the Riverfolk and Underworld expansions. The campaign is already almost 10x overfunded and is set to end on March 16th, 2021.

Root The Marauders Expansion

Tiny Epic Dungeons is the latest Tiny Epic release from Gamelyn Games which has 1-4 players in a fully cooperative dungeon crawler set in the fantasy world of Aughmoore. Players control a band of heroes who traverse a treacherous dungeon, one room at a time, in search of the Dungeon Boss. Along they way they can run into traps and fiendish minions, collect Legendary Loot, and Supreme Spells, as they make their way through the modular design. There's also a Potions & Perils mini-expansion and a Tiny Epic Dungeons: Stories expansion. The campaign is set to end on March 17th, 2021 and is already overfunded.

Tiny Turbo Cars is the latest offering from Horrible Guild where 2-4 players, aged 8+, participate in a frantic racing game where they have to dodge furniture and furnishings to be the first to complete the in-house track. Players make use of sliding puzzles to move their cars through a programmed, sequence of commands. Cars have unique abilities which can create combos when used with the environment and the game features a modular, track building system. There is also the add-ons of the Tiny Turbo Cars: Adventure Crew and Tiny Turbo Cars: Space Team expansions which adds more variability to the race tracks. The campaign is set to end on March 16th, 2021, and has already reached its funding goal.
