Just Keep Trucking On

Czech Games Edition has announced an expansion for their new edition of Galaxy Trucker, which released in 2021. In Galaxy Trucker: Keep on Trucking, players will find three new types of space ships, ship components with new technology, new alien figures with various specializations, new adventure cards, new trucking titles, and Rough Road cards. Some of this content will be familiar to prior expansions for the earlier edition of Galaxy Trucker, which originally released in 2007.  What a long, strange trip it has been for the frantic tile placement game. 

In Galaxy Trucker, two to four players engage in two phases. First, in real time, players grab component tiles from a central warehouse to construct their ship. Then, players conduct a pre-flight check to ensure their ships comply with the placement rules for all of their tiles. Finally, their ships will embark on a treacherous journey through space to reach their destination and deliver at least some of their cargo. As you pilot your ship, there is trouble ahead and trouble behind, in the form of pirates, meteors, space cannons, and more. Just remind yourself, I will get by, I will get by, I will survive. 

Galaxy Trucker: Keep on Trucking is designed by Vlaada Chvátil, just like both base game editions, with art by Tomáš Kučerovský, who also contributed to both prior base game editions. The expansion is scheduled for a retail release in autumn 2022, with fingers crossed it will arrive in time for a Gen Con debut.
