It's time to take dice to Mars, in Terraforming Mars: The Dice Game

What is that old adage from Benjamin Franklin? "Nothing is certain except death and taxes..." At this point, we might as well add the hobby gaming corollary: "also certain are dice and card game versions of games with any shred of popularity."

Following the hit game, Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition, Stronghold Games and FryxGames have launched Terraforming Mars: The Dice Game on Kickstarter (designed by Jacob Fryxelius and artwork from Isaac Fryxelius). Where Ares Expedition was a card game version of the hugely successful Terraforming Mars, this new version focuses on the use of dice. There are still plenty of cards and a central gameboard. This is not a roll-and-write dice game. Each player will start the game as a different corporation and a unique set of starting dice. These dice will drive your ability to produce resources and use certain actions. The cards will allow you to manipulate the dice and upgrade your actions as you work to terraform the Mars board.

Terraforming Mars: The Dice Game is currently on Kickstarter. It is listed at $35.00 and is scheduled to deliver to backers in July 2023. It plays 1-4 players in about 45 minutes.
