It's time to feed your people in Avalon Hill's Dungeon & Dragons: The Yawning Portal

If you’re familiar with the Dungeons & Dragons setting "The Forgotten Realms", you’ve probably heard the name “The Yawning Portal” before. For those of you who haven’t heard of it, The Yawning Portal is the name of a famous tavern that attracts two types of people, those hungry for adventure, and those who are just hungry.

In Dungeons and Dragons: The Yawning Portal, by designers Kristian Karlberg and Kenny Zetterberg, and published by Avalon Hill, players are the tavern’s staff tying to make sure that all the incoming adventurers are fed their favorite meals. You do this by matching up food tokens with the food symbols shown on the adventurer’s card. You’ll receive gems for every dish that you match and you’ll get a bonus if you match the entire order. And don’t forget to use potions to make your patrons love your food.

The value of the gems you earn are based on the frequency of which they appear on the board, with the most frequent having the highest value. Earn additional points or end-game bonuses by completing an objective challenge before anyone else. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner.

Dungeons & Dragons: The Yawning Portal supports 1-4 players, ages 12+.

Where to start? Where to start? Hmm... I like to play games? Yeah, that's brilliant. <delete><delete><delete> I'll try again later.
