CMON Limited has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the sequel to its overwhelmingly popular dungeon-crawler Massive Darkness 2, called Massive Darkness 2: Hellscape.  The game is designed by the team of Alex Olteanu and Marco Portugal, with the artwork supplied by Edouard Guiton.  The game plays 1-6 players, ages 14 and up.

Massive Darkness 2: Hellscape does not require Massive Darkness in order to play.  It is a complete, stand-alone game in and of itself.  Massive Darkness 2: Hellscape introduces the role of Lightbringers who fight the forces of Hell in order to save the world.  The cooperative nature of the game means that everyone is working together - and can do so through the new campaign mode that the game introduces in an expansion, Heavenfall.  This sequel brings in more characters, components, a different system, and cleans up the rules a bit from the previous game.

The Kickstarter campaign for Massive Darkness 2: Hellscape has well exceeded its funding goal, with about 2 weeks left in the campaign.  There are multiple pledge levels available including those with and without the expansion.  The unfinished rule book is out there for potential pledgers to peruse as well as rewards for each day of the game.  For those interested in more information, be sure and check out the Kickstarter page here.  The game is expected to deliver in September 2021.
