Istanbul: Choose and Write; or the quest to make every popular game into a roll/flip and write game

The 2014 Kennerspiel winner, Istanbul, is being revisited this year in a new version, Istanbul: Choose and Write. Like many award winners, Istanbul has previously had a dice version in 2017. Rüdiger Dorn returns to design this card-based flip and write game. Each player will have a bazaar in front of them, and each of the shops can only be visited a certain number of times throughout the game. Players will play cards in order to take actions on shops adjacent to their player piece, or they can play a card to take unique actions available only to them. As in it's big brother, players are ultimately trying to exchange resources and actions for rubies. 

Istanbul: Choose and Write is slated to be a 2023 release from Pegasus Spiele. It plays 1-5 players in 30-45 minutes.
