Imperium: Classics, Legends, and next....Horizons
Osprey Games has announced Imperium: Horizons, a standalone civilzation deckbuilder, compatible with the previous entries in the series, Imperium: Classics and Imperium: Legends. Each game puts players in charge of asymmetric factions with their own deck to guide the growth of their civilization. Classics and Legends each contain eight different factions. Horizons will blow the doors off with fourteen new factions! Osprey has revealed six of the new civilizations: Taino, Inuit, Aksumites, Mayans, Tang, and Sassanids. Osprey will be revealing two more factions each month as we march towards the projected release of Imperium: Horizons in summer 2023. In addition to the new civilizations, Horizons introduces a new trade module that adds intrigue, wealth generation, and dynamic politics.
All three entries in the series are designed by Nigel Buckle and Dávid Turczi, with iconic art by Mihajlo 'The Mico' Dimitrievski. All of the civilzations can be played utilizing an AI mode, which provides for a robust and varied solo experience.
