Here Come the Rat Queens!
Deep Water Games is bringing to the boardgaming world a game based on Kurtis Wiebe’s “darkly comedic and sass-and-sorcery comic series,” Rat Queens. The game, Rat Queens: To the Slaughter is designed by Erica Bouyouris and Sen-Foong Lim. The artists for the game include Owen Gieni, Megan Lara, Priscilla Petraites, Stjepan Sejic, and Roc Upchurch. The game is designed for 1-4 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 45-60 minutes.
Rat Queens: To the Slaughter is a cooperative adventure deck-building game in which the players each choose their own queen, all of whom come with unique, asymmetrical powers. The queens must defend Palisade, all the while defeating multiple monsters while building up their own decks, incorporating more abilities and forging friendships, in order to take on the Big Bad.
This fully-funded Kickstarter campaign has 2 weeks to go at the time of this writing. There are multiple pledge levels available and several stretch goals have been unlocked.
