HeidelBAR brings the heat with Tails on Fire

September 12, 2022 - 11:05am

Publisher HeidelBÄR brings you a new game by designer Thomas Sellner with artwork by Mayra Guadalupe Ornelas Ramos entitled “Tails on Fire”. According to Huichol* folklore, Iguana stole fire from the village and fled into the sky. In order to return fire to the world, Opossum found Iguana’s hiding spot, lulled him to sleep, and then stole fire back with his tail.

At the beginning of each round a “fire card” worth a number of points is placed in a display in the middle of the table. Each player will then construct a hand of three cards and choose one to play on their turn. The card they play must be one value higher than the last card. If you cannot play or choose not to play a card then you are out of the round. The last player standing not only collects the card from the display, but also other cards that opponents have already won that match the value of the card on the display.

For this release, HeidelBÄR has teamed up with Trees for the Future. Sales of Tails on Fire not only go planting new trees but also go to supporting regionally based families who earn their living from agriculture in the Sub-Sahara.

Tails on Fire plays 2-6 players, ages 10+, and has an estimated playtime of 20 minutes. Tails of Fire will release in October of 2022.
