Dice in the Darkness

Dice in the Darkness is a free, print-and-play game from Beluga Bliss Games where the designer streams himself playing the game on Twitch.tv and invites others to play along with him. Players choose either a Wizard, Warrior, or Rogue as they join in on this episodic, one-page, roll-and-write, adventure game played over ten dungeon rooms. They can upgrade and unlock new abilities across the ten-week season in a 20 to 30-minute game designed for 1 to 100+ players, aged 13+.

Dice in the Darkness Room and Monster

“After designing several free roll-and-writes during the pandemic, I wanted to create another free experience that could be played safely from homes and have the excitement of a weekly episode in a series. It is a ten-week season with each player taking their personalized, upgradable character to the next room in the dungeon each week. Hopefully this will provide an outlet, some encouragement, or even just a distraction during this difficult time so many are going through.” - Joe Hout

The season began on March 4th, 2021, at 8pm EST but you should be able to catch-up if you make your way to Twitch.tv and join Joe Hout, the designer, rolling his six-sided die every Thursday at 8pm EST, and Sunday at 3pm EST. You can get the print-and-play material for the game from Boardgamegeek.
